Where does the feeling of the teeth come from?

Enamel is a translucent, highly calcified white hard tissue devoid of nerves. There are nerve fibers in the dentin tubules below the enamel, which have obvious responses to external mechanical, thermal and chemical stimuli. Generally, external stimuli directly stimulate the nerve endings of the dentin, and then transmit the sensation to the center through the alveolar nerve branches.
